So, You’re Looking For A Bar/Bat Mitzvah Photographer in Central NJ

Are you planning a Bar or Bat Mitzvah party and need an event photographer in New Jersey? That would be me: I have been photographing the Jewish rite of passage since 2010 and would be happy to help you out. I live and work in Highland Park, and have worked at synagogues and other venues in Edison, Linden, Elizabeth, East Brunswick, South Brunswick, New Brunswick and beyond.

What I offer: 

Full single-photographer coverage

Optional assistant/second photographer if needed (recommended for events with more than 175 guests) for an additional fee.

Formal portraits, informal portraits, candids, photos of simcha dancing and other activities, ceremonial photos (not on Shabbat).

Online access to high-resolution photos in a personalized, password-protected gallery. Clients can download some or all images to their hard drive and order prints at the lab of their choice, or can order prints directly through the gallery. Photos are available online for approximately 1 year.

Optional USB thumb drive storage is available at a nominal additional fee of $25.

What Makes Me Unique

I bring over 40 years of experience as a street photographer to every event I photograph. The 12- and 13-year-olds at Bar Mitzvahs tend to have high energy, and I love capturing the chaos and the spirit of the event to be enjoyed for many years. So, in addition to both formal and informal portraits, I capture the energy of the event.

What I charge:

My Bar/Bat Mitzvah photography fee is based on hours of photography. Any normal post-production (cropping, color/exposure adjustments, etc) is included. 

$500 for the first 2 hours of photography, $200 per hour for each hour thereafter.

Additional photographer/lighting assistant (if requested) is $125 per hour of photography.

Additional post-production fees may include adding missing people to group shots; replacing individuals in group shots with alternate photos where they have better expressions; removing facial blemishes or stains on clothing. These services start at $25, and depend on the amount of work required.
